Corfe Valley is a compliant and registered provider for Dorset Council and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. We are an Alternative Provision in Dorset that offers short-term placements for children and young people with clear goals and outcomes. Corfe Valley continually goes above and beyond to help all of our young people to feel a sense of belonging, build friendships and develop lifelong skills enabling them to be happy and confident individuals.
All of our staff have completed specialist Trauma Informed Schools training, strengthening our understanding of how trauma and adverse experiences can affect a young person’s emotional wellbeing, behaviour, relationships and ability to engage with learning. This training complements our established relational, inclusive and child-centred approach. At Corfe Valley we recognise that young people learn best when they feel safe, understood and connected.

We use a relational and trauma-informed approach enabling our young people and staff to develop positive, trusting relationships.
